The Priest, the Doctor and the Engineer
A priest, a doctor and an engineer were playing a round of golf. The group ahead of them was moving very slowly. They asked the greens-keeper the reason for the delay. He replied, “Sirs, those men are heroes. They are firefighters who are blind. They lost their sight saving children from a house fire, so we always let them play for free, anytime.”
The priest said, ‘That’s wonderful. I will certainly offer prayers of gratitude for their sacrifice and for their recovery.’
The doctor said, “There have been big advances in eye surgery recently. I will contact some ophthalmologists that I know; they may be able to offer medical help.”
They then turned to the engineer who said, “Why don’t they play at night?”
